The financial situation in journalism continues to deteriorate, leading to frequent cuts in the journalistic landscape, as recent developments in Switzerland have once again shown. The consequences for media diversity are dramatic.
One response: philanthropic funding for the establishment of sustainable business models in independent journalism outlets.
We are very happy about the opportunity to present the Media Forward Fund on November 19, 2024 from 6-7.15 pm in Lausanne and to discuss together with Mercator Foundation Switzerland, Fondation Leenaards, Gebert Rüf Stiftung, Le Temps and Docmine how the potential for innovation in journalism in Romandy can be best leveraged through new funding opportunities.
